Owen ruled out for the season

The worst nightmare Michael Owen must have been dreading so far has finally come true, as the injury plagued striker has been ruled out for the rest of the season after pulling a hamstring in the Carling Cup final last weekend, and may be he will have to undergo an operation as well. This leaves Manchester United with only 2 established strikers, Rooney and Berbatov, the former being in great form so far, while the latter has left most fans puzzled on whether he was worth 30M pounds when he was transferred.

Sir Alex took part of the blame in Owen’s injury however, by admitting that he should have played the striker more often, but also blamed the Wembley pitch condition šŸ˜ˆ usual Fergie stuff šŸ˜‰

This injury has also shut all doors for a World Cup appearance for Owen, although Capello himself was not too keen so far on adding him to his list knowing the injury crisis Owen was facing.
