Pre-season: Barcelona 1 – Manchester United 2

Manchester United ended their US Tour 2011 on a high note last night, as they managed to get a win over the mighty Barcelona, which however has to be said, was without star players like Messi, Xavi, Pique, and others missing in action, and in the process United managed to claim all 5 wins from their 5 games played in the pre-season preparation. However, De Gea yet again failed to keep a cleansheet, tallying 2 goals conceded in 2 games played. United scorers were Nani (22nd minute) and Owen (76th minute), and in between Thiago Alcantara had drawn Barcelona level on the 70th minute, a rising star in the Catalan side, and one wh0 interested Sir Alex in the transfer market but failed to buy. Next stop will be against Man City for the Community Shield next Sunday, signalling the beginning of the new season.
