Wes Brown’s own goal seals Sir Alex’s 25 years in charge celebrations

Yesterday, the match had to end in a victory as Sir Alex Ferguson celebrated his 25 years in charge at the club, but it was a pity that one of our former players had to score for us, Wes Brown, who was captaining Sunderland on his return to Old Trafford. United did not create a lot of chances, but in first half added time did the damage, as Welbeck rose to flick on Nani’s corner, which went straight to hit the head of Brown and past his own keeper, a goal which proved to be the winner in the end for the men in red. Doubts still linger after that 1-6 thrashing from City, and United are struggling with their football so far, with the midfield looking very weak, despite Rooney playing CM role.

Sir Alex was however honored by the club, as the north stand at Old Trafford has been renamed to Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, a perfect tribute to his contribution in making Utd one of the biggest clubs in the world.
