The Red Devils continued their Premier League fine run after their thrashing by City which dented their ambitions for a while, as United won rather easily against QPR today, 0-2, in a match which in pre-match was thought to be a tricky away one for them. United score before the first minute, as Rooney headed in Valencia’s cross to give United a great start, and with the team looking very focused, they were rarely troubled by QPR, and Carrick sealed the win on the 56th minute following a solo run of half the pitch, his first goal after almost 2 years. United went top temporarily with this win, as Man City face Arsenal later today. Next game will be on Wednesday, as United travel to Fulham.
Elsewhere, Barcelona became the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup champions, as they easily saw off Brazilian team, Santos FC , on a 4-0 scoreline, with Messi scoring twice, and goals from Xavi and Fabregas for the Catalans to seal their win.
