Manchester United DHL Tour 2012 – Match 2 review

Forgotten man, Bebe, grabbed a decisive goal in United’s 2nd friendly tour game, as the Red Devils nearly tasted their first defeat for the tour, but in the end they settled for a 1-1 draw. The match looked set in favour of Ajax Cape Town as they scored on the 86th minute through Alcardo Van Graan, but Bebe smashed in a late effort following Marnick Vermijl’s cross to spare the blushes from the Red side. New signing Kagawa this time started the match, but although not stellar, he gave a solid performance until he was subbed on the 77th minute, while the other new signing, Powell, was also given a run in this game as he was introduced on the 68th minute. The young lads are still learning the ropes and there’s still a long way ahead for them to progress, so do not be surprised if United do lose a couple of the coming friendlies 😉

Next tour game will now be in China on the 25th, as the Red Devils will face Shanghai Shenhua, the same club where both Anelka and Drogba are plying their trade.
