Manchester United looked a spent force at the Liberty Stadium as they took on Swansea in Wales, and despite having much possession, they failed to win the game, with the attack looking very meek despite both RvP and Rooney teaming up, and ended up with the first draw of the season, bringing Man City to only 4-points behind. United’s goal came on the 15th minute, as Evra rose to head in RvP’s corner kick. Despite some opportunities, they could not score the second, and instead on a quick counter Swansea scored at the other end on the 29th minute, as De Gea could only parry De Guzman’s shot right in Michu’s path, and the current EPL top scorer did not fail from a few yards out. Despite all their good will, United could not find the winner in the second half, as RvP then Carrick found the crossbar barring their way, while the entrances of Chicharito, Giggs and Scholes brought little change, and in the end both teams had to content themselves with the draw, while awaiting for the boxing day. City will be rubbing their hands in glee while hoping for another United slip-up with the hectic schedule awaiting English football.
