Welbeck keeps United on the right track

dannywelbeckroundsjohnruddy20131228_640x360Danny Welbeck came off the bench to give United 3 very important points earlier today, as the Red Devils traveled to Norwich for the last game of the year 2013. United were without Rooney in attack today, the latter suffering from a groin injury, while RvP is still out, thus giving Chicharito the chance to play upfront.

The home team created several opportunities in the first half, but failed to score from them, and United’s goal came in the second half, as Welbeck came on for Giggs, and made an immediate impact as he found the net on the 57th minute, albeit with some luck. Bennett tried to clear the ball, which went on to hit Welbeck, then cannoned back off Chicharito and bounced towards goal. Welbeck sprinted off to round Norwich’s keeper Ruddy and  slotted home easily. United held on to the precious points, which brought them closer to the top 4, and also giving Moyes and Co. 6 straight wins in all competitions.
