David Moyes bid farewell to MUFC today 8am BST time, as the “Chosen One” proved to be more like the “Clueless One” given recent results, with United sitting in a pitiful 7th spot in the league table, and having lost for the 11th time in the EPL this season on Sunday, against none other than Moyes’ former team, Everton. As his adventure came to an end, this is the only single sentence found on United’s official website to describe this sacking:
The Club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.
Along with Moyes, his two assistants have also been relieved of their duties, namely Steve Round and Jimmy Lumsden, while Phil Neville being an old boy at MU stays, and will help out none other than Ryan Giggs to take over the remaining games as the end of the season beckons, a season which I feel most Man United fans will want to forget the soonest, and instead start dreaming for trophies next season, as the names of Van Gaal and Klopp are circulating around as the next United manager, thou the latter has recently stated he’s still in love with Dortmund, and does not plan to leave them any time soon, which makes it more credible for Van Gaal to be appointed, despite him being linked with Tottenham as well.
Hoping for a better performance next season, United will surely rise from the ashes and make us all dream on once again, GGMU!!!
