The Red Devils kicked off their pre-season friendly against LA Galaxy in style, as they eased off with a 5-2 win over the MLS side, but the main talking point was Rashford, who scored a double and stole the show, while Lukaku made his first appearance with the Red Devils, but in the second half of the game, and although Mourinho is full of praises for him, he did not score for his first game. Lindelof also made his debut alongside Lukaku in the second half, and both men must have found what it means to pull on the red shirt for the first time.
Rashford scored the opener on the 2nd minute, as United meant business, and found the net again on the 20th minute. He was joined on the scoresheet by Fellaini six minutes later as the Red Devils ended the first half with a 3-goal lead. Changes were rang at half-time, as 11 new players joined the fray for United, and Mkhitaryan found the net on the 67th minute, with Martial concluding United’s scoring blitz on the 72nd minute. Giovani Dos Santos then came into life for the MLS side, as he scored twice on the 79th and 88th minute, but United had a decent lead and saw off the win with ease in the end despite conceding twice.
