Romelu Lukaku was the hero of the match opposing the Red Devils to the Saints as the striker scored the only goal of the game to ensure the Red Devils claimed the 3 points to keep up the good run in the league.
It was a typical Mourinho approach as the Red Devils allowed Southampton to control possession but frustrated them with some very good defending and hit them on the break in the first half as Lukaku scored at the second asking after his initial attempt was saved. Although in the second half the Saints could have equalized, the Red Devils held on, and Mourinho being Mourinho was also sent off to the stands with only 20 seconds left for the final whistle, as he had much to say to the fourth official which surely the latter didn’t want to hear at all 😈
